Delete your Jib account
You can delete your Jib account and its data at any time, in the app or by asking us.
In the app (quickest)
- Open Jib and tap the settings button (the cog, top right of the home screen).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap Yes, delete.
If the app asks you to sign in again first, that’s a security check: sign out, sign back in, then delete again.
Without the app
Email hello@jibapp.xyz with the subject “Delete my Jib account”, ideally from the email address you use for Jib. We’ll confirm it’s your account, delete it within 30 days, and let you know when it’s done.
Delete some data, keep your account
You don’t have to delete your account to remove data:
- A job, photo or shopping item: open it in the app and tap the bin.
- A space or a whole house: delete it from the app, which removes everything in it.
- Your inventory: remove items from the Toolbox list.
- Anything else, or if you’d rather we did it: email hello@jibapp.xyz saying what to delete, and we’ll do it within 30 days.
Deleted items are removed from your phone and from the cloud straight away.
What gets deleted with your account
- Your account and sign-in
- Every house, space and job you created, with its photos, shopping list, inventory and AI conversations
- Your membership of any shared house. Houses you shared stop being shared; other members lose access to them.
- Any unused AI credits
This can’t be undone.
What’s kept
- Anonymous usage and crash data, which isn’t linked to your name or email, is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as their own policies and the law require.
- Data only on your phone (if you used Jib without signing in) stays until you delete the app.
- Your Google account or Apple ID isn’t touched. Jib only uses them to sign you in, and deletes just the data Jib itself stored.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription, because Apple and Google bill it. Cancel it in yourApple subscriptions orGoogle Play subscriptions, ideally before you delete your account.
